Mission
REVIVE THE VIVID is a musical project who's aim is to penetrate the heart of it's listeners, bringing a full spectrum of melodies, rhythms, soundscapes, and timbres that illuminate and resonate the hidden caverns within the human heart. There's a deep desire there that longs to be known at the deepest levels, REVIVE THE VIVID pierces those levels using the aforementioned attributes alongside song structure to intentionally reveal a hidden truth that still echoes in the deepest parts of listener's heart.

The power and deception of addiction, of any addiction, of any God substitute, is like a fog that dims the light of truth. Their ears can't hear, their eyes can't see, cause their hearts are so lost in the fog of addiction, that light and truth alludes them. And so someone needs to stop the flow, someone has to stop the cycle, and break through the fogs of despair and reignite the fire of God that is already within them, re-spark their God given desires. Someone needs to remind them who they were before the clouds set in, and who they still are beyond the realms of that dreary haze. They need to be initiated, motivated, challenged and driven into the light...and it has to be with a voice that pierces through, with a song that breathes mystery and awe, reigniting the imagination, reigniting life like when they were children and everything was new and magical. A song that resonates deep within the core of the heart, to remind them of the space that's there, the empty cavern that echoes in its longing to be filled, its longing to be known as it truly is, its longing to be brought back into the light, to come back to the one who made it. The vivid needs to be ignited. REVIVE THE VIVID.

hood heartbreak. Nick became very aware of the power of music to reach into the places no one else could see, to empathize and bring a calm where there was a storm. It seemed to whisper to him, "you're not alone, I understand you, and you're gonna make it."
Around this age, Nick picked up the guitar and began seeking how to create his own melodies, tones, soundscapes, that would resonate in the same space as those songs did.
Nick joined a progressive heavy metal act called Etched in Red in 2003, releasing two albums and performing across the country for over 7 years. Nick parted ways with Etched In Red in 2010.
In 2011 Nick moved to Kansas City to join a worship movement that combined all of his favorite aspects of music, while tying in the content of his deeply held spiritual convictions. It was in this environment that the vision for REVIVE THE VIVID was birthed and took shape.
Over the past 8 years it has been refined, and remolded to fit a spectrum of genre expressions, but all still with that underlying core sound that refuses to be defined other than that of a sound that connects the listener to those aches and longings of their heart. Reviving something lost, something that was once vibrant and vivid, REVIVE THE VIVID.
About the composer
Nick Kramer was marked by the power of music from the beginning. At age 6, when a song came on the radio that soothed the sadness of moving away from his best friend, to age 13 when a song came on the radio and jumped through the air waves into the aching, empty, chambers of his heart left from another child-
